As far as I can tell, only one person has put up a diary about the gentleman described in this post http://hellaoccupyoakland.org/... . His name is Govinda Windthunder, and he is my very real friend. I knew him, as many people did, from the campus of SUNY Geneseo, where his incredibly tall, goofy presence was hard to miss.
It is easy to feel threatened by someone that tall, and I think he knew this. I have never felt threatened by him, but rather a warm comfort of a person who wanted to understand all people. Govinda was an amazing musician, and a very well educated person. Right now, all of his friends that I know are freaking out about his arrest, and at the ludicrous nature of the charges.
So, I felt I would try to bring it up as much as possible, in the largest venue possible that I know of. I am appalled at the charges. I am against the police state that Oakland has created. I am for Occupy Wall Street, and I am for Govinda Windthunder. Please share this with as many as you can, to bring attention to the insane miscarriage of justice being perpetrated here. He needs your help, and as his friend, I am going to help him too.
